Brett J. Schulte, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Overview:
Originally from Southern California, Dr
Shulte moved to Idaho to attend college and experience the great
Northwest. He attained his Doctor of Medicine from the University
of Washington and completed his General Surgery Residency at St
Joseph’s Hospital program in Denver. After training, he entered
the Navy and served in Florida, Washington, and aboard the USS Nimitz.
Once his military work was finished, a return to the Northwest was
inevitable. Given the beauty and recreational opportunities, he
settled in Grants Pass.
Dr Shulte has been Chief of Staff, Vice Chief of Staff, and is now
Chairman of the Trauma Committee at Three Rivers Community Hospital.
In addition, he is on the board of directors at Lovejoy Hospice,
is an integral part of Mid Rogue Independent Physician’s Association
patient care committee and is appointed as Assistant Clinical Professor
of Surgery at OHSU.
Dr Shulte has a special interest in the surgical care of cancer
patients, and enjoys spending time explaining in detail disease
processes and treatment options.
